Tim McGraw’s song is a constant reminder to me that regardless of how life changes, always stay humble and kind.  I’m usually not a person who internalizes songs, but this one hits home.  There’s really no explanation needed.  Appreciate your blessings.  Be aware that there are many people out there that are less fortunate than you.  Don’t dwell on things that truly don’t matter.  Remain kind.  Kindness is a quality that cannot be matched.  It’s having that genuineness about you, like your soul is on display at all times.  When my sister-in-law was getting married, everyone’s first quality or trait that they had to describe her was “Kind”.  It was unrehearsed, uncollaborated.  It was an 'in the moment' truth telling.  Kindness is a quality that cannot be matched.  Someone who cares unconditionally, someone who would give a stranger the shirt off their back, someone with a heart of gold.  Kindness is infectious.  Little things like ‘paying it forward’, holding the door, saying please and thank you, smiling at strangers as you pass them by.  Those little things that sometimes we are too wrapped up in our own lives to remember to do.  These small acts of kindness can do more for others than you know or will ever know.  Kindness can change lives, can save lives.  Larger kind gestures and even more important things like volunteering.  Helping out at a soup kitchen.  Being a Big Brother or Big Sister.  Grabbing an extra sandwich during lunch for the man sitting on the street who’s down on his luck.  These are all examples of actions that spread kindness, no matter how big or small.  Acts that spread joy, that spread love.
